Yara Alhogbani is the first Saudi woman to win a professional tennis event. The 17-year-old overcame Russian-born player Tamara Ermakova to win Bahrain’s J5 Isa Town event. The match was won by Yara Alhogbani in straight sets, 6-4 6-2. This was the pair’s second meeting.

Yara Alhogbani is 17 years old and was born on November 16, 2004. She is rated 946th by the International Tennis Federation, with 22 victories and 21 defeats. Yara, 17, is from Ohio and was reared in Virginia, USA, where her family still lives, and they are her biggest supporters. “I am very glad that my parents enabled us to follow diverse hobbies and professional paths as I desired,” she said.
