Rodney James Tucker (conceived 28 August 1964) is an Australian cricket umpire, an individual from the ICC Elite Umpire Panel, and directs worldwide Tests, ODIs, and T20Is. He was a cricketer who played momentarily for New South Ridges from 1985/86 to 1987/88, preceding moving to Tasmania where he played from 1987/88 to 1998/99. He was additionally bad habit commander of Tasmania from 1991/92 until 1995/96. He momentarily played as Skipper/Mentor for the Canberra Comets in the 1999/2000 season before resigning from cricket as a player.

A left-given batsman, Tucker scored 5,076 five-star runs at a normal of 36.25 and took 123 top-of-the-line wickets at a normal of 41.40, bowling right-arm medium. He played in Tasmania’s sides that were sprinters up in the Sheffield Safeguard in 1993-94 and 1997-98.

He was chosen as one of the twenty umpires to remain in matches during the 2015 Cricket World Cup. Tucker remained in the first semi-last of the competition played between South Africa and New Zealand on 24 Walk 2015 at Auckland. He remained in the last of the 2016 ICC World Twenty20. On 2 January 2017, he remained in his 50th Test, while umpiring the second Test between South Africa and Sri Lanka at Newlands Cricket Ground.

In April 2019, he was named as one of the sixteen umpires to remain in matches during the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

He umpired three warm-up games (Pakistan versus Afghanistan, South Africa versus West Indies, and West Indies versus New Zealand) before the competition, which contained 10 groups and 48 different matches and Tucker directed 13 of them.
