His father Himanshu Pandya, seeing the skill of both the brothers and their passion for cricket, decided to shift his business from Surat to Baroda so that he could give good training to his sons.
After coming to Baroda, his father took Hardik and Kunal to Kiran More Cricket Academy. Kiran More was their initial coach, who decided not to charge fees from both the brothers after seeing their tremendous cricketing skills and their financial condition. Meanwhile, Hardik had also left their studies after studying till 9th standard.
On one hand, both the brothers started taking cricket training and on the other hand their father’s business went down. But father Himanshu Pandya never told Hardik and Kunal about his economic slowdown. Because he wanted to maintain the mental balance of his sons towards cricket, but gradually the economic slowdown surrounded Hardik so much that he used to practice on the field only after eating Maggi. Saving his food money, Pandya used to collect cricket kits. Hardik did not even have money to buy a bat.

Hardik Pandya, who impressed everyone in domestic cricket with his bowling and batting, made his debut for Mumbai Indians in 2015 and won everyone’s heart. After which he was included in the Indian team in 2016. After which he also led the Indian team in the World Cup.
He was troubled by injury for the last two years and was also dropped from the team but he did not give up and returned in IPL 2022 and impressed everyone with his bowling, batting and captaincy, after which he was selected for the T20 World Cup.
