La Masia De Can Planes also named as La Masia. It means The Farmhouse in English, and it is a word used for FC Barcelona’s youth academy. The youth academy of La Masia includes 300 teen players. It has been an instrumental element in Barcelona’s European and generated many world-class players in the early 20th century. La Masia De Can Planes became the first academy to have trained all the finalists in a single year for the Ballon d’Or. The three players were Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, and Xavi.

The sports academy La Masia De Can Planes is also the name of Barcelona’s FC training amenities of football. It was first situated near Camp Nou in the district of Barcelona in the Less Corts. The building was first an ancient national residence built in 1702, and Camp Nou was launched in 1957. It was reconstructed and extended for use as the social headquarters of the club.

With the gradual spread of the club, the building became little headquarters, and in 1979, on 20 October, La Masia De Can Planes was shifted into a dormitory for youth players from outside Barcelona. The La Masia De Can Planes building ceased housing the sport academy players on 30 June 2011. The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, in a simple way, the doors were closed and took over the operation of the residential center for the young players.

History

La Masia was a farmhouse an old Catalan built in 1702. It was first used by the club building to house its footballers who were from outside Barcelona in 1979. The concept for the youth academy was proposed by Jaume Amat to Nunez, and Oriol Tort was the man in charge of the amenities. It was launched that Barcelona might be shifting all of its football training activities in 2011 to La Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.

La Masia De Can Planes got publicity after Barcelona’s success with home ground players, and Smith said in the Dialy telegraph that La Masia De Canes had replaced the fabled Ajax academy as a production line of football.

The current success and fame of La Masia De Cane Planes as a talent school was ascribed to the class of 1987 by Ian Hawkey that featured prominent members such as Gerard Pique, Cesc Fabregas, Pedro, and Lionel Messi. Louis Van Gaal 2000, who was the coach of Barcelona’s first team widely ridiculed for his dream by the city sports media to win the Champions League competition with 11 home-ground players. Four hundred forty people from 1979 to 2009 have left their families and houses to stay at the La Casia academy. Only those 440 forty made it into the first team of Barcelona.

Organization

The best 200 are selected. The academy actively seeks students. It employs a system in that 15 scouts are deployed, 15 in the rest of Spain and Catalonia, and ten scattered throughout the globe. 

FC Barcelona provides coaching, cash, and technical recommendations to these clubs for their services. While spreading its functions abroad, the club has set up one school in Egypt and five schools in Mexico, and successful applicants to schools become full-time students and get football training and academic education too.
